Sharpie Clear View Highlighter Peach

I bought 3 of these highlighters in, peach, teal, and lilac so I could highlight the important parts of my notes. I really love the clear tips on these so I am able to see when to stop easily without having to lift the highlighter from the paper and check. With regular highlighters I always end up going further then mean to and highlighting things that don't need to be emphasized. But with these I can see exactly where I need to stop. I also like the variety of colors. I chose the lighter pastel shades because they are more subdued and no as intense as the neons while still being enough to stand out.
But I have run into an issue. So far I've only used the teal shade and I noticed that it caused the pen ink to smear and pick up, absorbing into the tip of the highlighter. I want to add that I do use a fountain pen, so it may be the type of ink in using and I'm going to try and find an ink that doesn't have this issue but so far I've had this problem with 2 different brands of fountain pen ink. It really sucks! I'm still hoping to find an ink where this isn't an issue but as it stands I can not highlight my previous notes with these because of the smearing. I chose to buy these from pensandpencils.net because they gave me the option to buy them individually where most other places I've found only sell them in packs and I only wanted a couple. Also the pastel colors are only sold in the big giant pack with all the other colors and this was the only place where I could buy the pastel colors specifically. I'm very happy with my purchase from this company but not as impressed with the brand Sharpie because it specifically says on the packaging that these don't smear and they definitely do, at least with multiple brands of fountain pen ink.
